The Blue Springs High School Library Media Center offers a wealth of knowledge and support through the lessons of a great book, academic research for important projects and special tools offered to the students to set them up for college and beyond.

Destiny Library Catalog
Our library catalog website is called Destiny, and you can access it by logging in to Clever.com and clicking the Destiny link. You can use Destiny to find books in our library, as well as to access our library's digital resources.

Sora eBooks and Audiobooks
Our digital library is called Sora, and this is where you can access ebooks and audiobooks to read or listen to on any device. You can access Sora from any course in Schoology, from our Destiny library website, or through Clever (look for the OverDrive link).

You can also download the Sora app to your phone and log in with your school email and password to read and listen on the go!

Because the only thing that makes reading better is reading with friends!

WHO: Everyone is welcome!

WHAT: We read one book a month and then meet to discuss it. We also talk about other great books we're reading. Students choose the books we read.

WHEN: The third Thursday of each month during time & support.

WHERE: The flex space in the back of the library media center.

HOW: Sign yourself up on Adaptive Scheduler (look for the Book Club option) or email Mrs. Birdsell at sbirdsell@bssd.net and request to be scheduled.

Career & Test Prep

Learning Express Library is available through the BSHS library and offers: 

  • Practice tests, tutorials and test prep ebooks for multiple exams, including the ACT, WorkKeys, ASVAB, SAT, AP exams, and PSAT practice tests, tutorials, and test prep eBooks 
  • Skills practice in math, English, science, social studies, and logic and reasoning 
  • Career information, occupation entrance exams preparation, and military exam preparation 
  • Resources for job search and workplace skills  

The first time you access Learning Express Library and create an account, you will need to be on a school computer. After that, you can access it and log in from anywhere.

To create an account: 

  1. Log in to Clever and find the Destiny link to go to our library catalog website.
  2. In Destiny, click the Learning Express Library link. 
  3. Click Register and fill out the form. 
  4. To see the materials available, click the All Centers drop-down in the menu bar and choose one of the centers. Then, click Resources in the menu bar to see what’s available in that center. 

Tutor.com is available for free through Mid-Continent Public Library. This resource provides live homework help with expert tutors every day from 12 p.m. – 12 a.m. Students can get help with assignments in math, science, writing, English and social studies, as well as AP classes. Tutor.com also offers: 

  • Live tutoring in SAT, ACT, PSAT and AP test prep 
  • Access to worksheets, tutorials, study guides and practice tests through their Skills Center 
  • Detailed feedback and proofreading on essays within 24 hours
